Massage · Fibrotherapy

Recovery,
gently smoothed.

Focused post-operative massage that helps soften areas of fibrosis and supports your recovery after body-contouring surgery — always with your surgeon’s clearance.

After body-contouring surgery — liposuction and similar — the healing body can form firm, uneven patches of fibrosis. Fibrotherapy is gentle, targeted massage that helps soften and smooth those areas and supports your recovery.

We only begin once your surgeon is happy for you to, and we work within their guidance throughout. We’re honest about it: it supports your healing and comfort — it isn’t a shortcut, and everyone recovers differently.

If you also have swelling to manage, we may combine this with our separate lymphatic work — we’ll talk through what’s right for you at consultation. It’s carried out by Charlotte, our Lead Aesthetics Nurse.

The session

Cleared, targeted, within your limits.

1

Consultation & surgeon clearance

Before we start, we ask for your surgeon’s sign-off and check that incisions have healed. We plan the work around your stage of recovery.

2

Focused, comfortable work

Targeted massage over the affected areas to help soften fibrosis — always within your tolerance, never over unhealed or inflamed skin.

3

Aftercare & next steps

Simple aftercare and, where it helps, a short course rather than a single session. We’ll be honest about what’s worth it.

Good to know

Supportive, not a shortcut.

Often chosen for

  • Firm or uneven areas of fibrosis after body-contouring surgery
  • Supporting comfort and recovery as you heal
  • People who want careful, nurse-led hands post-op
  • Often best as a short course, guided by how you heal

Good to know

  • Your surgeon’s clearance is needed before we begin
  • We won’t work over unhealed incisions, infection or inflammation
  • Everyone heals differently — we don’t promise a fixed result
  • A separate service from our lymphatic (swelling) work — we’ll advise which you need
A word from us

Honest about what it can and can’t do.

Post-operative massage can help soften fibrosis and support your recovery. It isn’t a guarantee, and it isn’t a replacement for your surgeon’s care. If they’d rather we wait, we wait — your healing comes first, every time.

Good questions

Before you book.

When can I start after surgery?
When your surgeon clears you — often a few weeks, but always follow their guidance. Bring us what they’ve advised and we’ll work within it.
Does it get rid of fibrosis?
We help soften and smooth it and support your recovery. We can’t promise it removes it entirely — everyone heals differently, and we’ll always be straight with you about that.
Do I need my surgeon’s permission?
Yes. We ask for clearance before we begin, and we won’t work over unhealed incisions or any sign of infection.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually a short course works better than a single visit, but it depends on your recovery. We’ll be honest about what’s worthwhile.
