Massage · Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage,
lightness restored.

Slow, rhythmic, feather-light movement that follows the body’s own lymphatic pathways — a calming treatment often chosen to ease fluid retention and support recovery after a procedure.

Lymphatic drainage is one of the gentlest treatments we offer. It isn’t a deep-tissue massage — the pressure is light and the pace unhurried, encouraging your body’s natural lymphatic flow rather than working into muscle.

People come to it for different reasons: puffiness and fluid retention, heavy, tired legs, or simply a calm reset after a busy season. It’s also a popular choice while recovering from a cosmetic procedure or surgery — always with your practitioner’s clearance first.

It’s restorative bodywork, not a medical treatment for diagnosed lymphoedema. If you’re managing a diagnosed condition, tell us at consultation and we’ll talk through whether it’s the right fit, and adapt or refer where we should.

The session

Unhurried, from start to finish.

1

A proper consultation

We start by understanding your health, any recent procedures and what you’re hoping for — and check there’s nothing that means we should wait or refer you on first.

2

Light, rhythmic work

Warm, feather-light strokes that follow your lymphatic pathways. Nothing forced, nothing deep — most people find it deeply relaxing.

3

Time to settle

A few quiet moments to come back to yourself, plus simple aftercare — mostly water, movement and rest.

Is it for you?

Gentle by design, honest by habit.

Often chosen for

  • Puffiness, fluid retention or heavy, tired legs
  • A calm reset after a demanding stretch
  • Recovery after a cosmetic procedure or surgery — with your practitioner’s clearance
  • Anyone who finds firmer massage too much

Good to know

  • We’ll pause and may ask you to see your GP if there’s an active infection, a DVT, or a heart or kidney condition
  • It supports your body’s own drainage — we don’t make “detox” or toxin-flushing claims
  • Results vary person to person; some like a short course, others an occasional treat
  • Not a substitute for medical care for a diagnosed condition
A word from us

We’ll tell you if it’s not the right thing.

Every treatment is carried out by Charlotte, our Lead Aesthetics Nurse, so the reassurance of clinical judgement sits behind every session. If lymphatic drainage isn’t what you need — or now isn’t the right time — we’ll say so, and point you somewhere better.

Good questions

Before you book.

How will it feel?
Very light and slow — more soothing than a sports or deep-tissue massage. Most people find it calming rather than intense.
Is this a detox treatment?
No. We don’t make detox or toxin-flushing claims. Lymphatic drainage simply supports your body’s own natural drainage.
I’ve had a procedure — when can I have it?
When your treating practitioner or surgeon has cleared you. Bring us their guidance and we’ll work within it.
How many sessions will I need?
It varies. Some people like an occasional treatment; others prefer a short series. We’ll be honest about what’s worth it and what isn’t.
