Mole & skin lesion screening,
checked with real expertise
Nurse-led clinical screening with your images reviewed by a Consultant Dermatologist — clarity and reassurance about a mole or skin change, without the long wait. No GP referral needed.
A trusted second pair of eyes
A new mole, or a change to one you’ve had for years, is one of those worries that’s hard to sit with — and the wait for a routine GP appointment can stretch on. Our screening service gives you a clear, clinical answer, quickly.
Here’s how it works in practice. In clinic, we carry out a careful assessment and capture high-quality images of the mole or lesion using specialist photography equipment. Those images are then reviewed remotely by a Consultant Dermatologist through the Map My Mole platform, which follows the British Association of Dermatologists’ teledermatology guidelines. You receive a written report with a clear recommendation.
The ABCDE of a mole
A simple way to spot the changes worth checking. If a mole shows any of these — or simply doesn’t feel right to you — it’s worth having it looked at. Most turn out to be harmless, and knowing is the point.
Asymmetry
One half doesn’t match the other — an irregular, uneven shape.
Border
Ragged, notched, blurred or otherwise irregular edges.
Colour
More than one shade — brown, black, pink, red, white or blue.
Diameter
Larger than about 6mm, or noticeably bigger than your others.
Evolving
Changing in size, shape or colour — or itching, bleeding or crusting.
